I went to see Col this evening, to be there when he came back from his op, which was to put a stent into the tube connecting his kidney and his bladder. All went well, he was a little woozy, but we spent a couple of hours chatting and catching up and all was good. After a spate of requests from abroad for really big hardback books, I've now got three UK requests for paperbacks, which I shall send out tomorrow (this will also allow me to collect my parcel, which I strongly suspect contains Salad Fingers t-shirts. My mood has been low recently, for various reasons too tedious to go into, and somehow I couldn't really get the hang of this weekend... Met Col's old boss for drinks and dinner on Friday, which was pleasant enough, and as usual various business prospects were discussed. It seems to have taken me a couple of months to get around to this - where does time go? Anyway, I've sifted through all of my shoes, and here are the ones I'm going to part with:

( 16 pairs of shoes, boots and sandals. Sizes 4-6. )

We have done SUCH a lot of clearing and tidying and throwing away today! Of course the plan was to pack, but you couldn't actually do that anywhere, so we bit the bullet and got on with it. Can you believe it, I actually threw out some CDs today... they were only rips... and Col did the actual throwing-in-the-bin part... but I still think it counts ( Read more... )
